Urban growth initiative
The EcoVision Velddrif initiative is dedicated to promoting urban growth and expanding living space in the charming town of Velddrif. By strategically developing residential and industrial areas and improving infrastructure, we aim to accommodate a growing population in the Western Cape while preserving the city’s unique charm and character.
Additionally, our efforts extend to promoting tourism and strengthening local attractions to ensure that Velddrif thrives as a vibrant destination for visitors and residents alike.

Velddrif Water & Power
Water & energy for the Western Cape
Velddrif Water & Power (VWP) aims to improve the community’s infrastructure through the construction of desalination plants and water reservoirs. In addition, VWP will implement gas-to-power energy systems powered by green hydrogen produced by KTE.energy in the Northern Cape. This enables the production of base-load electricity exclusively from renewable energy sources in order to supply the Western Cape with cheap, reliable and renewable energy.
Through this initiative, VWP will help solve the two major challenges – energy and water scarcity – in the region.
